Campus:
1.
Farm
Planning done with the aim of optimum use of available land with better
production: Nothing without planning,
2.
Drainage
work completed up to 90 %, but back wall is collapsing,
3.
More
pipe lines are laid down with double facilities- sprinkler or direct tube
irrigation,
4.
New
herbal plants are planted,
5.
Mango
auction fetched Rs. 39000. Far better then previous year,
6.
The
work of 3 new toilet-bath work is near to competition,
7.
Water
storage sump work is under progress and will be completed by October 02,
8.
Sealing
of Secretary’s residence has been undertaken and will be completed with
painting to main building by Oct. 02,
9.
One
Mandap repair work is under progress,
Activities in the Campus:
1.
“
One day workshop on “ Public Speaking “ was organised with Bandora-Marcaim
Junior Chamber on April 7th, 02.
2.
Birth
Registration camp was organised on April 20th, 02 in which 24
persons got the birth registration,
3.
Health
Awareness camp was organised jointly with All India Women Federation, Goa
branch on April 27th, 02 in which 47 women and 4 men took part,
4.
One
day health education camp on “ Diseases after 40 years to women” was organised
jointly with All India Women
Federation, Goa branch on June 25th, 02 in which 34 women took part,
5.
Monthly
Health Camps were organised on April 27 having 14 women and 21 children, on
June 8th, having 15 women and 21 children, on July 12th,
having 35 children and 21 women, on Aug. 18th, having 40 children
and 33 women,
6.
Programmes
on the occasion of 18th June and 15th Aug. were
organised,
7.
One
day “ Nutritious Food “ making
training camp was organised on 19th Aug.02 in which 26 women took
part,
8.
One
day special training to the functionaries of the Village Panchayat Madkai and
Kundai was conducted,
9.
Half
day in house discussion was organised on PNDT Act. Specially for the clarity of
Society’s representative to the State Advisory Board,
Panchayati
Raj:
1.

booklets on and about Village Panchayat was published and distributed widely in
Goa and outside. The booklet received enormous responses and have become one
the source book,
2.
One
day training camp in PS camp, and 3 camps respectively in Pedne, Thivim and
Assolna were conducted by the Panchayati Raj Cell,
3.
A
press conference was organised with Mr. Rajesh Bhat by the Cell,
4.
A
web site on “ Goa Panchayat” is under construction and will be inaugurated on
Oct. 2nd, 02.
PE
& SD Project:
1.
A
4 days regional workshop for Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar on “ Developing Gender
Perspective” was organised in the 1st week of April 02 at Abhayapur
Orissa,
2.
A
10 days “ Periyar Freedom March” organised from Thakkady to Alwaye in between
April 20th to 30th, 02.
3.
State level conferences were organised in
Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Orissa,
4.
A
seven day TOT on “ Core Values of SWARAJ” was organised at Ranchi from May 8th,
to 14th, 2002 at Ranchi, Jharkhand,
5.
National
Consultation of fellows was organised on May 15th & 16th,
02 at Ranchi in which 98 % fellows took part,
6.
Internal
evaluation of the project has been completed which covered every aspects of the
project. The evaluator Ms. Hemalata Subramanyam visited Orissa, Jharkhand and
Bihar and had reflection / further clarification session in Goa in July. 02.
7.
Organised
regional workshop for Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa on “ Status of Panchayati Raj Today” held at Pune on June 23rd
and 25th, 02

Visited
riot torn Ahmedabad on June 25th and 26th, 02 and planned
for a 6 month Peace Initiatives,
9.
Hold
3 days planning meeting of the national team of the project July 17th
to 19th in PS Campus.

Prepare
proposal for next phase and despatch it to the EED,

Did
preparation for Germany visit

Hold
meeting with the EED at Bonn on Aug. 5th and 6th on
future cooperation and Bread for the World at Stuttgart on Aug. 7th,

Preparation
of National conf. Of the project at Bettiah, Champaran, Bihar is under full
swing,
Peace
Initiative:
1.
A
meeting of Gandhian activist was conducted at Ahmedabad on June 26th,
and decided to organise Peace Initiative to build confidence in between Hindu
and Muslim,
2.
A
proposal for financial support was submitted to the EED,
3.
Signed
an agreement with EED for 6 month support for the Peace initiative in Gujarat,
4.
A
Team formed and detail plan of action has been prepared,
Administrative:
1.
Annual
audit for the year of 2001-2002 was completed and return with the District
Registrar, Income Tax, Home Ministry and Donor has been filled on time,
2.
A
culture of Daily Meeting of Staff has been started with the aim to develop
better understanding about work,
3.
Annual
planning meeting of the Executive Committee and the annual council of the
organisation was conducted,
4.
Held
meeting with the President of Society on April 8th,
5.
Two
new bank accounts are open with State Bank of India, Kundai Branch and Bank of
Maharashtra Madkai Branch,
6.
Finance
Sub Committee meeting held on 25th May 02,

Service Rule” Manual has been forwarded to the M/S SP Bhandare Associates for their
